About Nancy
Nancy Hilsenrath, LCSW, CASAC, SAP, is a licensed clinical social worker working with individuals, children, couples and families in West Hempstead, Long Island, New York and also through Telehealth.
While Nancy’s focus is on addiction, she also counsels individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and other mental health issues.
Nancy graduated from Wurzweiler School of Social Work in NYC. She has over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist and has been the program director for many substance abuse programs throughout the years.
Her skillset is quite strong and she knows how to help her clients reach their full potential and be successful.
Nancy specializes in addiction with much emphasis on substance abuse.
She has helped many adolescents and adults stop abusing pain medication, heroin, along with other illicit substances. Her approach is gentle and compassionate.
Nancy has made community presentations in order to enlighten the Long Island and Queens, NY community about the opioid epidemic. It is important for the community at large to learn about the early signs and symptoms of substance use before it escalates into abuse and dependence.
Nancy is currently a program director at Long Island Detox, working closely with the medical director, Dr. Hughes.
